DHUBRI: Border Security Force (BSF) soldiers thankfully came to the rescue of a village woman in Dhubri district of Assam who was suffering from severe labour pain, taking her to the nearest government hospital for relief and treatment.
Border Security Force Company Commander of Border Out Post Chowki char of 41 Battalion informed that a 40 years old pregnant lady Haseena Khatun from Bigha village was suffering from labor pain and requires immediate medical assistance.
The company Commander immediately responded and evacuated the pregnant lady to the nearest government hospital in Dhubri with the help of a BSF nursing assistant and speed boat ambulance.
The local village president, council members as well as the rest of the village folk have thanked and appreciated the good work done by the Border Security Force.
It needs mention here that the Border Security Force is dedicated for the security of borders of India as well as providing help to border population.
Apart from manning Indo-Bangladesh International Border, bordermen also assist border population in emergency situations by providing medical assistance.
