The Bodoland Territorial Area Districts are celebrating the 17th Bodoland Day to mark the signing of the Bodoland Accord. Preparations are on to celebrate the occasion with pomp and splendor.

Around two lakh people are gathering for the celebrations and Assam Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma and Sarbananda Sonowal will also be in attendance at the function which is to be held at the BTC Secretariat Complex, Bodofa Nwgwr, Kokrajhar.

The signing of the historic BTC accord by Hagrama Mohilary

The Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) is a territorial council that was established in the Assam state of India according to the Memorandum of Settlement of 10 February 2003. Hagrama Mohilary was sworn in as the Chief Executive Member (CEM) on 7 December 2003.

The BTAD consists of the four districts of Kokrajhar, Chirang, Baksa, and Udalguri.
