KOKRAJHAR: To meet the ever-growing demand for teachers, the administration of the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) has recently announced 1,420 graduate teacher posts for the schools of the region.
The Director of Education of the BTC has released a notification for the recruitment of 1,420 graduate teachers (arts & science)/Hindi /Arabic/Sanskrit vacancy in schools in the region.
A candidate must not be less than 18 years of age and not more then 40 years for unreserved category, 42 years for Ex-Servicemen, 43 years for OBC/MOBC and 45 years for SC/ST (P)/ST(H) and 50 years for persons with disability (PwD) as on 1st January, 2021.
Notably, candidates who have secured their degrees from off campus institutions cannot apply.
In respect of secondary TET, candidates must obtain 60% marks in each paper for UR category and 55% marks for OBC/ MOBC, SC ST (P), ST(H) and PwD category.
It is worth mentioning here that only candidates having Bodo, Bengali, Hindi, and Assamese as MIL in HSLC examination shall be allowed to apply in the schools which are imparting education in Bodo, Bengali, Hindi, and Assamese medium.

Candidates from the 4 BTAD districts -- Kokrajhar, Chirang, Baksa, and Udalguri -- will be given 1st preference.
The pay is Rs. 14,500/- to 60,500/- and Grade Pay is Rs. 8,700/- per month.
Application in standard form with bio-data and attested copies of all certificates and mark sheet of educational qualification from HSLC onward and professional qualification must be submitted to the office of the Director of Education, BTC, Kokrajhar. The last date of submission of forms is February 13, 2021.
