Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) chief Hagrama Mohilary on Thursday confirmed that the Bodo Peoples’ Front (BPF) will remain intact with it its decision to contest in the 2019 Lok Sabha election in alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the party will contest from only Kokrajhar.

Mohilary also informed that the selection of the candidate for the Lok Sabha election will be held on March 3, 4 and 5.

Regarding the issues of the BTC areas, Mohilary said, “We have talked to the people in here today regarding the separate statehood, ST status to the six communities and Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016 that the BPF party has not done any mistake in making any decision for its people which is now being realised by the people of BTC as well.
