Buzz | 45th edition of Karbi Youth festival is underway

Guwahati, February 15, 2019:

Come one come all! The Karbi Youth Festival, which is one of the most happening and exciting ceremonies to be held in the entire Northeast was flagged off on February 14 by the CEM of Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council, Tuliram Ronghang.

The CEM inaugurated all 26 constituencies of the Permanent Artists’ Camp building. He was also accompanied by speaker Longki Timung, Deputy Speaker Ritesh Enghi, MLA Numol Momin along with many EMs and MACs of the region.

The mega event is being organized at the Karbi People’s Hall at Taralangso, Diphu and is organized every year by the Karbi Cutural Society (KCS).

The fest celebrates the youth of Karbi Anglong and dances, songs as well as many cultural activities are on display. Moreover, the mouth-watering delicacies are also being served en masse to the revelers in the many fast food joints that have been opened at the venue. The festival, which officially started today, will wrap up on February 19. Over 5 lakh visitors are expected to partake in the festivities.
