Choudhury had been accused of inciting followers to vandalize public properties during the CAA row. "There are allegations that he has incited violence in the violence. However, we have heard that when he was headed to Christian Basti...but seeing a ruckus on the street...he stopped his car at Super Market. He then walked to his location, but due to the chaotic situation on the street. He might have shaken hands with some acquaintances. However, that does not mean he is complicit", an aide told mediapersons.
