Guwahati, 23 January 2019:

It seems Assam Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma is not likely get rid of black flags being waved at him any sooner by people who are protesting against the controversial Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016.

The minister once again faced the same wrath of protesters on Wednesday, this time near Morigaon bus stand in Nagaon when his convoy was crossing the area.

The black flags were waved by Assam Jatiyatabadi Yuba Chhatra Parishad (AJYCP) activists who, for the third day running, made their opposition for the Bill clear and loud.

The protesters also shouted slogans against the health minister and the Bill.

Himanta Biswa Sarma was shown ‘black flags’ by anti-Bill activists at Pathsala, Kalomoni among other places in the last 2 days.
