CAB Row | Rail blockade by AJYCP across Assam

Guwahati, February 7, 2019:

The Assam Jatiyatabadi Yuva Chatra Parishad (AJYCP) has staged a massive rail blockade across the state to mark their protest against the controversial Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016 and also to demand an Inner Line Permit (ILP).

The protestors sat on the railway tracks demanding ILP and scrapping of the Bill for the sake of the indigenous people of North East.

It may be mentioned that the All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) has also staged a state-wide protest against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016 which is being carried out by the district chapters of the organization.
