In different operations, the troops of the Border Security Force (BSF) of Guwahati Frontier apprehended two Indian cattle smugglers along with six cattle heads on Friday from the bordering areas of Jhalachar and Chowkichar district South Salmara Mankachar (Assam).
In a special ambush on Thursday, BSF troops apprehended one Indian cattle smuggler along with one cattle from the area of responsibility of Border Outpost of Jhalachar. He was trying to smuggle the cattle from India to Bangladesh.
The apprehended cattle smuggler has been identified as Saju Mia. He has been handed over to Mankachar police for further investigation.
Meanwhile, troops of the BSF apprehended another cattle smuggler along with five cattle from the area of responsibility of Border outpost of Chowkichar.
The apprehended cattle smuggler has been identified as Mozibor Rahman. He has been handed over to Sukhchar police for further interrogation.
BSF troops apprehended the cattle smugglers while on their duty and alertness against the issues of trans-border crimes and illegal infiltration.
