Assam minister of industries Chandra Mohan Patowary on Friday wrote to the union minister of heavy industries Prakash Javadekar regarding the revival of the paper mills of the state.
Patowary said that through the letter, the state government has requested the central government for deliberations and discussions on the matter. The state has asked for a month’s time from the Centre.

Patowary also stated that the state government would provide land pattas to 60,000 landless indigenous people of the state on October 5, 2020.
Patowary further added that in the same breath over 2 lakh small tea growers would be provided land pattas.
