CID seize more cash from SI exam scam accused Devraj Das’s bank locker

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on Monday took accused in the SI exam scam Devraj Das and conducted a search operation at the Bongaigaon branch of Punjab National Bank.  The CID sleuths recovered a huge amount of cash from the bank locker that belonged to Das.

The CID team however refrained from disclosing any details as the case is under investigation.

It may be mentioned that Das is an employee of Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR). He hails from Barpeta district and was posted at New Bongaigaon. Police earlier arrested him for his alleged involvement in the SI exam scam.

Cash worth Rs. 1.83 crore was recovered from his Barpeta residence.
