GOALPARA: Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal today visited the houses of martyred CRPF personnel from Assam Bablu Rabha in Dudhnoi, Goalpara and Dilip Kumar Das in Bajali and paid his tributes to them.
Both the jawans laid down their lives in an encounter with Naxals in Chhattisgarh recently.
Later talking to the newsmen there, Sonowal, while terming the incident which took the life of the CRPF jawan as dastardly, said that the martyred CRPF — CoBRA (Commando Battalion for Resolute Action) jawans made the supreme sacrifice in the service of the nation and left behind a glowing example of patriotism and valour.

“Though both Rabha and Das laid down their lives in the line of duty, they would remain immortal and would keep inspiring the young generation through their bravery and sacrifice,” Sonowal added. The chief minister also extended his condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul.
