COAL TRADER SHOT AT IN BONGAIGAON DISTRICT

Unidentified miscreants shot at a coal trader Ajmal Haque in Jogighopa in Bongaigaon district of Assam. The miscreants who came on a motorbike fired at Ajmal from a close range. The miscreants fled the scene soon after the incident. Ajmal was immediately rushed to Goalpara Civil Hospital from where he was referred to Guwahati. He is undergoing treatment at Nemcare Hospital in Guwahati and is stated to be out of danger.

Talking to Insidene, Bongaigaon SP Hridayjit Barman said that it could be a case of business rivalry or personal enmity. The SP did not rule out the Contractors and Lobourers election angle. Till now, four persons have been rounded up for interrogation.
