Congress' Barpeta hopeful Abdul Khaleque casts vote

Barpeta, April 23, 2019:

Jania MLA and Congress candidate from Barpeta Constituency Abdul Khaleque has cast his invaluable vote at Barpeta during the third and final round of polling in Assam.

Khaleque is up against AIUDF’s Hafiz Rafikul Islam and Kumar Deepak Das from AGP. It may be mentioned that Barpeta has a Muslim population of almost 70%.

Assembly segments under Barpeta are Bongaigaon, Abhayapuri North, Abhayapuri South (SC), Patacharkuchi, Barpeta, Jania, Baghbar, Sarukhetri, Chenga, Dharmapur. Around 16.76 lakh voters will decide the fate of Barpeta.
