Congress not to align with AIUDF: Ripun Bora

Guwahati (Assam), September 21, 2018:

Assam Congress chief Ripun Bora on Friday said that the party would never align with All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) under any circumstances.

Speaking to media, Bora said the AIUDF might be in an alliance with the Congress at national level but this alliance could not happen in Assam. The Congress is powerful enough in Assam and so it does not need any alliance with the AIUDF, he said.

He asserted that the AIUDF was a party found only on paper, not among people.

On Friday’s electrocution deaths in Juria, he said the people died because of negligence of the part of the Power Minister and the Power Department. He demanded a proper enquiry into the incident.
