Congress stages statewide protest against SI exam scam

The congress on Monday staged statewide protest against the SI exam scam. The congress demanded a CBI inquiry into the incident and also demanded Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal’s resignation.

The Majuli district congress also staged a protest in solidarity with Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) and gheraoed the SP office. Hundreds of Congress workers participated in the protest demanding a CBI inquiry into the SI exam scam.

The police erected barricades in front of the SP office and tried to stop the protestors storming into the office.

In Guwahati, the district congress committee also took out a protest rally to the Office of the Commissioner of Police in Kachari. The protestors shouted anti BJP slogans and demanded the resignation of chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal.
