Congress's symbol would have been a lungi if Tarun Gogoi remained CM: Himanta Biswa Sarma

Guwahati, December 7, 2018:

Assam Finance Minister and convenor of North East Democratic Alliance, Himanta Biswa Sarma said that had Tarun Gogoi remained as a Chief Minister for five more years, the symbol of Congress would have been transformed into a lungi.

Speaking to the media, he said that over the the Congress in Assam only played politics on dhuti and lungi.

Sarma said that the main objective of the BJP is only development. Bharatiya Janata Party will win the panchayat elections with a majority of votes.

He added that at present no one hears any reports of rhinos being killed but during the Congress's reign such things were reported everyday.
