COVID: Kamrup Metro reports 110 new COVID19 cases

Guwahati: With more and more people being vaccinated, Assam on Sunday reported 133 new cases of the COVID-19 with 110 cases alone in Kamrup Metro.

Assam has also reported one new death. According to the Health Minister of Assam, Keshab Mahanta the positivity rate was 0.64 percent of the total 20,870 people being tested.

The recovery rate has been said to be 98.58 percent.

It may be mentioned that as per covid19.assam.gov.in the total number of cases in Assam has been reported to be 580657 in total so far. 

It may be mentioned that with the threats of the new COVID-19 variant being in reports, the Union Health Ministry revises guidelines for international arrivals in India to be effective from December 1.

The Central government has also made it compulsory to submit 14 days travel details, uploading negative RT-PCR test reports on the Air Suvidha portal before the journey.

As per Health Ministry’s guidelines, travelers from ‘countries at-risk' will need to take the COVID test post-arrival & wait for results at the airport.If tested negative they’ll follow, home quarantine for 7 days. Re-test on 8th day and if negative, further self-monitor for next 7 days.
