COVID positive popular Assamese singer Arun Das laying neglected in hospital bed, cries for help

GUWAHATI: Arun Das, the famous Assamese singer from the '90s, has been tested positive with his wife and found laying in Gauhati Medical College and Hospital bed with nobody to attend to them or help with anything.

A video of him expressing his sorrow has gone viral recently where he seemed crying for help with food or anything. Arun Das expressed in the video that they wanted to have some good food other than the hospital ones, he also wanted to have ORS but there's no one to provide him with anything.

No individual or NGO has reacted yet either to the matter regarding extending a helping hand toward the couple.

It's immensely tragic that Das, who has given a tremendous contribution to the cultural field of Assam, now unrecognized and spending days in a hospital bed neglected by all.

Das has given voice to superhit songs like 'Moi eti mukoli pakhi', Amej bhara', 'Tumi kobane' and 'Monor Jatona' etc.
