GUWAHATI: The crime branch of Assam Police has arrested two frauds for allegedly demanding money from candidates promising them jobs in the Assam health department.
The duo, Md Saleh Ahmed and Md Imtiaz Borbhuiya, both 26-year-old, were arrested from their rented house in Dispur here.
Both the accused hailing from Hailakandi district, are part of a racket operating from Jharkhand.
The duo had allegedly been demanding money from candidates who have appeared in the health examination recruitment examination in Assam.

The crime branch had earlier arrested one Kamesh Pal from Jharkhand in this connection.
Both the accused were produced before the chief judicial magistrate here following which they were sent to custody of the crime branch.
