The 'attack on the press' in India continues journalists were allegedly threatened with murder in Majilu on Thursday evening by an eight-member team of the Deuri Swayatwa Shasita Parishad.
The team was led by a certain Bhabesh Deuri.
The journalists with the surnames Baishya and Bhuyan were threatened to with murder on while on 'live' while they were on their way to report on the Deuri Swayatwa Shasita Parishad.

The two journalists have lodged an FIR at Jengraimukh Police Station.
They alleged that the members of the Deuri Parishad had also thrashed Bhuyan’s mobile phone.
It is to be mentioned that the attack on the journalists took place after a series of news reports were published on different corruption activities by the parishad.
The incident was reported in front of the residence of the Parishad’s Executive member, Madhav Deuri.
Apart from the two, two other journalists Jyotish Kumar Tamuli, Jadumoni Saikia, and photojournalist Ridip Bora, were also threatened.
