'Dhing Express' Hima begins her 12th Examination in Nagaon

Guwahati, February 13, 2019:

Students who are trying to find a solution to balance sports and education should take a leaf out of Hima Das' book. The premier athlete, popularly known by her moniker of ‘Dhing express’, appeared for her class XII exam yesterday from her hometown Dhing in Assam’s Nagaon district.

The young role model, who has expressed a desire to continue her studies despite her sporting commitments, is renowned for being the first Indian athlete to win a Gold in a track event at the IAAF world U20 Championships.

The Assam Higher Secondary Educational Council (AHSEC) is conducting their 12^th leaving HSSLC exam from 12 February-March 14. 2,42,844 students are appearing for the exam from 772 examination centres.

Hima also posted a picture of herself writing the paper at the examination venue at social networking site Instagram.
