Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti leader Akhil Gogoi following the brutal killing of five near the Dhola Sadiya bridge in Tinsukia stated that the men in camouflage or Army uniform who killed the persons might have been from the government itself.
Akhil Gogoi reacting on the killings said that the whole incident is a result of various communal statements made by some MLAs, peace talks ULFA leaders and the silence of the Chief Minister regarding the communal statements.
He added, "The CM has been supporting the communal forces in the state and also had provided some communal or anti-Assamese leaders with additional security instead of preventing them from making provocative statements. He should have taken steps immediately when various persons made provocative statements against both the Assamese and well as the Bengali community in the state but since he did not take any steps, this situation where five innocent lives were lost took place."
He further demanded that Tinsukia's DC as well as the SP should be suspended as there have been several allegations of them not being active during the scene of crime. "It was also alleged that the police switched their phones off when they were involved about the incident. It is because the police were involved in the killings?", Akhil Added.
He added, "The police intelligence surely had information about the issue but they did not do anything to prevent it because there are chance of the polcie or the home department involved in it. We think that the men in Army uniform might have been from the government's side, the home department or even assasins hired by the government."
He claimed that a big conspiracy might be there as everyone in Assam knowws that the BJP and RSS are intentional trying to create division or clash between the Assamese and Bengalis in the state.
He added that the BJP wants the Bengalis to live in fear and so that they (BJP) can use the Bengalis as permanent vote bank.
"If we hold individuals responsible for the whole incident then we will say Hojai MLA Shiladitya Dev, BJP president and CM Sarbananda Sonowal are responsible. Some pro talks ULFA leaders and also the Bengali organisations who claimed to attack Assamese are also equally responsible. We want the government to immediately take actions against all these in order to restore peace in the state", he added.
