Following the killing of five people near the Dhola-Sadiya bridge in Tinsukia, the Panbazar Police have summoned United Liberation Front of Assam-Peace Talks leader Mrinal Hazarika.
It may be mentioned that Mrinal Hazarika had recently said that they would resort to massacre to stop the Bengali organizations pressing for the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016.
There had been wide scale outrage of the provocative comments of Hazarika.
It is not immediately known if the police has summoned Hazarika in this context. He is being interrogated at the Panbazar Police Station but the chances of Hazarika being arrested cannot be ruled out.
Meanwhile, the anti-talks faction of the United Liberation Front of Asom (Ulfa-I) has denied its involvement in the killngs.
