Dhola killings | Suspected ULFA-I Linkman Arrested in Tinsukia

The Police have arrested a linkman of the United Liberation Front of Asom-Independent (ULFA-I) on Saturday for allegedly being involved in the Dhola killings.

Police officials speaking on the arrest said that a person name Diklai Gogoi has been picked up by the police on suspicion of being involved in the crime as he has always been linked with the ULFA-I.

He has been involved showing routes to the militants as well as providing shelter to the cadres of the outfit. The police will now check his call records and recent activities to figure out if he helped ULFA-I in the whole crime.

It may be mentioned that five people belonging to a particular community were killed by unidentified gunmen on November 1. The gunmen were suspected to be militants of the ULFA-I but the outfit denied having any connection with the incident.

The police however suspects the outfit of being involved in the killings.
