Dhubri Police seize massive ammount Contraband drugs from Passenger Bus

Guwahati: During a raid conducted by police in a private bus station at Dhubri, a huge quantity of illegal contraband tablets and cough syrup bottles were allegedly recovered from a passenger bus and also apprehended one person along with the bus conductor.

Acting on a tip-off, the police and bike rider team of Dhubri Sadar conducted a raid in a private passenger bus that reached Dhubri bus station at night from Coochbehar. During this raid a huge quantity of suspected and able to seize a huge quantity of contraband tablets and cough syrup bottles.

During the raid bus conductor Mohammad Akkas Ali alias Rahul resident of Gauripur said he was handed over a medicine bag by a person at Coochbehar, West Bengal in exchange for Rs 100 to dispatch the medicine bag at Dhubri bus station to a person, the bus bearing registration number AS-17B-3090.

Meanwhile, the police team nabbed one youth who came to collect the medicine bag in which the illegal addictive contrabands and cough syrup bottles were smuggled through the passenger bus.
