GUWAHATI: Dibrugarh Bar Association will remain closed till March 18 due to the detection of COVID-19 cases.
The members of the Dibrugarh Bar Association have unanimously decided to keep the Bar under lock up to March 18 as a precautionary measure, since some coronavirus cases have been detected both amongst the members of the Judiciary as well as the members of the Bar.

The district and session judge, Dibrugarh has been directed to inform all the judicial officers not to pass any adverse orders in any case, both civil and criminal if no steps are taken due to the closure of the Bar as most of the advocates will not be able to attend the court work.
The association further stated that it is also necessary for the safety of the advocates as to presiding officers of two of the most busy courts are themselves suffering from the pandemic.
