DIBRUGARH: Police busted an illegal Aadhaar enrolement centre at Paltan Bazar in Dibrugarh today and picked up three persons in this connection.
The arrested have been identified as Dwipen Doley, 29, Bitupan Deori, 27, and Aibi Deori, 30.
Police said on the basis of specific information, they raided the alleged illegal Aadhaar Sewa Kendra at the house of one Atiqur Rahman and nabbed the trio red handed.

Three more persons have also been detained for investigation, police added.
Police have also seized a desktop, laptops, Aadhaar enrolement forms and cash worth Rs 5,000 and a Tata Nexon car (AR 01M 8130) from the detained individuals.
According to police, the conmen used to charge Rs 300 per individual for Aadhar enrolement.

Sources said many illegal Aadhaar Sewa Kendras have been operating across Assam and are making huge money.
