DIBRUGARH: Dr. Bhupen Hazarika Centre for Studies in performing arts in Dibrugarh university has been declared as a containment zone after two students of the department tested positive for COVID-19.
The university registrar in-charge Jiten Hazarika said in a notification that the department will remain a containment zone until the next 7 days.

All the teachers, employees, and the students of the department are advised to isolate them in their respective houses for 7 days and go through the standard RT-PCR test within three days.
With the fresh COVID-19 cases the total number of COVID-19 cases in the district stands at 14,989 till February 21, while the number of deaths due to coronavirus in the district stands at 125.
