“Gogoi should remember that he is a lone MLA from his party and if he wants to be a part of the opposition he should refrain from giving such discriminatory comments”, he said.
In the month of March, right before the Assembly polls, Gogoi in a letter from prison termed AIUDF as a “communal party with a fundamentalist ideology.”
Hussain, who represents the Chenga constituency, said he expected the budget to reflect on the women of the state given the fact that this was the first budget to be presented by a woman finance minister in the state.
“I hope this budget is going to reflect on the problems and aspirations of women across the state as this is the first budget to be presented by a female finance minister. The budget should be inclusive of women, children, marginalized lots and people living in the border areas….” He said.
The 27 year old MLA said the first full-fledged budget session of his life was a learning experience for him.
Ashraful Hussain said, “The budget session is very significant. Today the budget will be presented and I hope it would reflect on the aspirations of deprived section of people. I am proud of being a part of the Assembly which consists of veteran public representatives.”
