Drugs seized from Guwahati Railway Station

Guwahati, February 21, 2019:

A team of the Guwahati GRPS on Thursday seized suspected brown sugar from the Down Saraighat Express train.

The suspected brown sugar weights 700 grams. An individual has been apprehended identified as Md. Arsad Ali has been detained.

In an interrogation, Ali revealed that the item was brought from Dispur area to carry to Murshidabad.

A case under the NDPS Act is being registered as per procedures.
