ECI delegation arrives in Guwahati; holds discussion with officials

GUWAHATI: Chief election commissioner Sunil Arora and election commissioners Sushil Chandra and Rajiv Kumar arrived here today on a three-day visit to the state to review poll preparedness for assembly elections in the state. 

The CEC held a discussion with Assam chief electoral officer Nitin Khade and the police nodal officer at a hotel here today. 

The CEC delegation will also hold meetings with senior officials of the state government, including the chief secretary, home secretary and director general of police.

Meetings with leaders of political parties, election-related central and state authorities, district election officers and superintendents of police are also scheduled.
