Elected NCHAC members take oath in Halflong

Guwahati, February 4, 2019:

The oathtaking ceremony elected members of the 12^th elections of the North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council (NCHAC) was held today.

All the 28 elected members took oath during this ceremony. Most of the members of the Autonomous Council were in traditional dresses and took oath in their own language.

The ceremony was attended by all administrative officers, all Government officials and also the people of Dima Hasao. Additional District Commissioner of Dima Hasao, Bikramjit Sharma, presided over the oath-taking ceremony.

The nomination for the post of Chairman started today from 1 pm onwards and will conclude tomorrow.
