Elephant found dead in Nagaon

Guwahati, November 20, 2018:]

Another elephants was found dead in Nagaon's Samaguri on Tuesday.

According to locals, the elephants was found dead in a paddy field and it has been suspected that the elephant died of food poisoning. Some have even claimed that the elephant was poisoned by farmers but it is yet to be proved.

The forest officials have initiated an investigation and will conduct the post mortem soon.

There are chances of the elephant being poisoned as this is the third death in the same area within the past 30 days.
