Elephants attack and kill one in Numaligarh

Guwahati, November 8, 2018:

Man-elephant conflict continues in the state as on Thurday, another person was trampled to death by a herd of wild elephants in Numaligarh's Haharsola.

A local said that the person who died in the attack has been identified as Habil Guria. He was attacked by the elephants early in the morning while he tried to chase away the herd that invaded the paddy fields and houses in the villages.

It may be mentioned that there were multiple elephant invasions in the region over the past few days in the area. At least three persons were killed during elephant attacks in the past week as well.
