Guwahati, April 18, 2019:

The electors from five Lok Sabha Constituencies of Assam have run into a major problem as the glitches in the EVM machines are being reported from across the state once again.

Polling has been delayed in many polling stations due to the malfunstioning machines. The list of a few polling stations with EVM malfunction glitches are:

EVM glitches have also been reported from No. 210 polling station of Kakir’s Najirapar in Lanka, as well as the No. 280 polling station.

The glitches have also been reported from two polling booths in Marigaon: No. 152 Bijulibari Primary School polling station, and No. 22 West Manipur LP School.

Three polling stations in Jamunamukh (Nowgong Constituency) have also reported EVM issues: No. 106 West Jaruni ME Madrasa, No 82 Nijparkhuwa Primary School polling station, and No. 83 Digarumukh LP School.

In Goreswar too, the EVM glitches have been reported at Bapuji ME School polling station in Simila.

Faulty EVMs have also been discovered in Dima Hasao and Manipur.

Reports about malfunction machines are also coming from polling stations of Tangla, Lanka Hojai, Silchar and others as well.

Meanwhile, the Haflong Hagjer Nagar L P school EVM machine is out of service and the voting has not started till now.

The voting for the second phase of the Lok Sabha polls is underway in five Constituencies of Assam and one in Manipur. Altogether, 95 Lok Sabha seats across 11 states and one in the Union Territory of Puducherry are voting today.
