SILCHAR: Voting at polling station number 146 at Nirtamoyee Balika Vidyalaya was temporarily halted, due to an EVM malfunction.
Meanwhile, voting was delayed at polling station number 26 at Nowgong Law College in Nagaon after the same issue occurred.
While in the Kamalpur constituency under the Kamrup district, voting was delayed by at least 3 hours after some technical glitches were seen in EVM.
Voting for phase II of Assam assembly elections is underway in a total of 39 constituencies under 13 districts to seal the fates of 345 candidates.

As many as 73.44 lakh voters are eligible to cast their votes in this phase.
Among the 73.44 lakh voters, 37,34,537 are male while, 36,09,959 are female and 135 are third gender voters.
Voting has begun at 7 am in all those constituencies in which no such issues were seen.
Voting is supposed to go on till 6 PM.
