FAAMC Doctor who died in 2016, gets promotion in 2018

The doctor, Dhurbajyoti Das, a resident of Pathsala was posted as the registrar of the Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Medical College and Hospital (FAAMC) at the time of his death. But, on Sunday the health department in an order promoted him as an assistant professor. This was very suprising to his fellow doctors. Das died in 2016 but he received a promotion in 2018.

Doctors have claimed that this issue needs to be checked as there might be a possible scam where a doctor who has died two years ago still seems to be on the pay role.

It may be mentioned that Das committed suicide at his residential quarter two years ago. He was servering as a registrar and was an specialist in the anesthesia department.

This issue has currently created a sensation among the doctors of the hospital.
