Family of Hizbul Mujahideen operative Saidul Alam ostracised

Guwahati (Assam), September 18, 2018:

The family of suspected terrorist Saidul Alam been ostracised by the locals of his native Udali village in Hojai district.

He was arrested recently for his alleged linkage with terrorist organisation Hizbul Mujahideen.

Protesting his association with Hizbul Mujahideen, the locals said if he was indeed a terrorist as suspected, he should be hanged. A local said everyone in the village had decided to ostracise Alam as they did not want peace in the village to be disturbed.

It may be mentioned the Hojai Police had on Saturday arrested Alam who was allegedly in constant touch with arrested suspected Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist Qamar-uz-Zaman.

He was one of the seven persons to be arrested for maintaining close contact with Zaman.
