Guwahati, April 11, 2019:

In a shocking development, it has allegedly been discovered that the EVM machines stored at the No. 46 polling center at Makrang Tea Garden in the Golaghat Lok Sabha constituency do not possess the symbol of the Congress party.

Moreover, in Khumtai’s Kabrugaon Primary School Polling Station, the EVM machine failed to take any input due to a technical fault. This has also happened in the No. 94 Polling station under Rachakiyal Madhya Brahmaputra Gaon Panchayat in Khumtai, No. 47 Polling Station at Bhakatiyagaon Primary School in Dergaon, Pandit Goswami Vidyapeeth Polling Station at Daiglong in Kaliabor, Naoboisa Primary School Polling Station in Golaghat, and at No. 1 Rangbang Primary School Polling Station at Sarupathar in Kaliabor.

In No. 93 Polling Station of Ratanpur, Golaghat, the button for the Asom Gana Parishad symbol does not work.

Many other incidents like this have been reported from different polling stations in the state.
