SILCHAR: Tamojit Saha, a teacher hailing from Silchar in Assam's Cachar district has earned the wrath of local Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders after posting some unflattering images of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on social media platform Facebook. Disgruntled supporters of India's Prime Minister have now lodged an FIR against him for posting an "objectionable picture."
Saha, who teaches Bengali at Ramanuj Gupta Junior College, is a resident of the Public School Road in Silchar town. In the "objectionable photo", Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar and Haryana deputy chief minister Dushyant Chautala can be seen garlanded with shoes and chappals, presumably at a farmers' protest in Haryana.
The FIR was lodged by Snehangshu Bhattacharjee, who is the president of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), Gurucharan College unit.
