RTI activist Dulal Bora on Saturday has lodged an FIR at Dispur Police Station against the PnRD Minister Naba Doley and other authorities of the department for the appointment of candidates despite anomalies as reported by the CID.

Speaking to InsideNE, Dulal Bora said, “On March 1, the RTI submitted a report that investigation is going on and CSLF’s report was yet to be received, only then actions could be taken. But on March 6, results were declared. On March 5, I asked Naba Doley and he acted ignorant. So, I have lodged the FIR against Naba Doley, Joint Director S A Laskar, SIRD Khargeswar Pegu, and Jyotsna Doley.”

The CID undersigned by Investigation Officer ASM Taher, reported that out of exams held in 14 districts, 18 centers of nine district had anomalies in which 28 candidates were expelled, three were arrested and one invigilator was arrested as well.

The centres with alleged anomalies are: P. C institution HS School, Alamganj Rangamati College, Bidyapara Boys H S school, Dumardhara MV School of Dhubri District, Borbhag College, nalbari College, Helacha High School of Malbari District, Hatichung College, Nagaon GNDG Commerce College, Samaguri College of Nagaon Dostrict, Vivekananda Kenfriya Vidyalaya of Dhemaji, Indira Gandhi College, Bongaingaon Railway HS School of Bongaingaon, Sichar Collegiate School of Cachar District, Angelika HS school of Kamrup (M) District, Saraighat High School, Rangia HS school of Kamrup (R) and Krishani Habraghat high School of Goalpara District.

It is to be mentioned that Bora has sent a letter to Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on June 1, 2018, addressing the issue. In his letter, he urged the CM to arrest the candidates who used unfair means in the examination hall and also the invigilator who helped them find answers using the internet. He further added that the Tamil Nadu Bloom Electronics has been given the contract illegally as to get the contract of Government examinations, the tender has to be put up against which the lowest cost demanding contractor gets the contract which was not done in this case. In his letter to CM, he clearly mentioned the SIRD, Khargeswar Pegu has taken money of around Rs 6 to 7 lakh and demanded CBI investigation to probe the corruption.

The list of centers where examinations were held are: Dhubri, Nalbari, Goalpara, Sivasagar, Tezpur, Lakhimpur, Silchar, Nagaon, Jorhat, Bongaigaon, Dhemaji, Dibrugarh, Kamrup (M) and Kamrup (R).
