Kokrajhar, March 27, 2019:

The surrender of NDFB (S) Foreign Secretary Ne Esera Evangel has apparently not gone down well with the topmost leaders of the anti-talk faction, including its President B. Saoraigra.

In a press release, B. Saoraigra said that Evangel was expelled after the meeting of national Council of NDFB on March 23. Moreover, the NDFB (S) President has said that the Foreign Secretary had long been unable to adhere to the mental and physical pressures of working in the organization and had also violated the Bodoland Army formation.

The Myanmar army’s recent crackdown against Northeastern militants has resulted in the insurgents in the region running helter-skelter. During the operations carried out by the ‘Tatmadaw’ in the region, many camps belonging to the insurgent groups were destroyed.

It may be mentioned after running away from Myanmar soil, Evangel Narjary alias Ne Esera, foreign secretary of the NDFB-S and a resident of Kapurpura village in Swrangjuli Mazbat under Udalguri district surrendered before security forces on Sunday along with his security guard. As per sources, he surrendered before 35 Assam Rifles in Mon district in Nagaland along the Indo-Myanmar border and also surrendered an AK-47 rifle along with live ammunition.
