Former president of the National Democratic Front of Bodoland (Saoraigwra) NDFB (S) B Saoraigwrahas said that they did not get much time to think about the Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) accord.

"We were not allowed much time to think about the BTR accord and that's why we couldn't see in Broadway over the third Bodo Peace Accord (BTR) signed on 27th January last", said B Saoraigwra.

Saoraigwra is one of signatory of BTR accord which was signed on 27th January 2020. The BTR accord is an outcome through the Bodo Peace Accord (BTR) involving all four factions of the NDFB, All Bodo Students’ Union and United Bodo People's Organization (UBPO).

Saoraigwra demanded proper implementation of the clauses of the BTR accord as per the spirits which has been regarded as a historic Bodo accord. He added that they were not much happier by the BTR accord as they were not given much time to see it before signing.

Saoraigwra further said that his ambition is to win from Chirang constituency in the Bodoland Territorial Council elections. He welcomed Anjali Daimary joining the Bodoland Peoples’ Front (BPF) adding her entry in the BPF will pave way for more integration in the party.

It may be mentioned that Saoraigwra is contesting on BPF ticket from Chirang constituency in the BTC elections to be held later this year.
