Four Krishak Mukti Sangram Samiti (KMSS) activists have been arrested in Golaghat district of Assam for allegedly indulging in violence on October 23. The four had reportedly burnt tyres on a railway track in Sarupathar’s Khanduguri during the 12 hour Assam bandh called by 46 organizations.

A video of a train passing over the burning tyre went viral on the social media and made headlines in the media.
Those arrested are Puna Bora of Nawjan, Pranjal Dowerah of Tengani, Ananta Gogoi of Tengani and Durlav Tamuli of Tengani.
Speaking to InsideNe, Superintendent of Police, Golaghat, Manabendra Dev Ray said that the four were arrested after the Government Railway Police had lodged a complaint with the police. They were arrested based on video footage collected from the media.
