Tinsukia (Assam), September 8, 2018:
Four youth, including a minor, planning to join the Paresh Baruah faction of rebel group United Liberation Front of Assam-Independent (ULFA-I) were arrested by the police in Tinsukia.
The police said three of the arrested youth were identified as Sanjib Moran, Nitya Moran and Tarun Moran, all residents of Sadiya. They were arrested based on specific inputs that they were planning to join the banned militant outfit.
The police also said that the quartet had been constantly in touch with members of the outfit in Myanmar. They were to leave soon for the ULFA-I camp. The accused are being interrogated.
