Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal inaugurated the newly constructed Flyover extension at Ganeshguri on Sasthi of Durga puja on Thursday.
The newly-constructed extension of Ganeshguri flyover will connect GS Road with RG Baruah Road which will reduce traffic congestion.
The 475-meter flyover was built under the state-Own, Priority Scheme-General with a financial outlay of Rs.58.76 crore.
During the inaugural program both the chief minister and finance minister addressed the public and commented on various development plans the state intends to carry out.

We had promised the people Assam that the flyover will be functional before Durga Puja and the government has kept its commitment.

He also said that the construction of the Supermarket flyover will be completed Within Bohag, April next year.
A flyover from Rehabari via Sharabhati to Arya Vidyapeeth College is under construction.

New medical college combining the MMCH and TB hospital will be constructed.
Chandmari to noonmati Elevator flyover is under process.
9 new foot over bridge with elevator will be completed within December to February.
Taking measures to resolve flood related issues.
