Ganja worth 10 kg Recovered at Guwahati Railway Station

Guwahati, December 18,2018:

The train checking staff of Guwahati GRP recovered Ganja (cannabis) from Platform No. 1, today. Two persons, namely, Sudhanshu Kumar and Raju Ansari, were detained.

The packages, containing ten kilos of the outlawed substance, were recovered from 1243 Down Rajdhani Express train (coach A/5 and seat no. 19 and coach A/1 seat no. 46). The accused were travelling from Dimapur to the Kanpur railway station.

According to report,a case is being registered under N.D.P.S Act and investigations are underway. This follows a recent spate of similar incidents where ‘Ganja’, an outlawed drug, has been recovered from Guwahati railway station. The most recent incident had occurred on December 15, when 25 kgs of the substance was seized.
