Gauhati university to conduct both online and offline exams in view of COVID-19 pandemic

Gauhati University has decided to conduct both online and offline examinations in view of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.The Postgraduate (PG) Final Examinations of Gauhati University for the year 2020, which is scheduled to start from September 2020, will be held in the online mode. The Undergraduate (UG) Examinations will be held both in the online and offline mode.

The controller of examinations of the university is expected to publish the standard operating procedure (SOP) of this new mode of exams shortly.

It may be mentioned that admission to BSc Honours programmes of 1st Semester in Cotton University for 2020-21, began on Tuesday. The total number of seats has been increased by 25%, and the advantage to students from Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) is given in the form of marks standardization. All admissions shall be provisional. Students having standardized marks 276 and above were allowed to take part in the admission process.
