Gauhati University releases SOPs for Open Book Examination. Here's all you need to know

GUWAHATI: The Gauhati University has released a fresh set of guidelines as they have decided to conduct Open Text Book Examination for 2021 in view of the COVID situation of the state.

For the same, the released Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are as followed --

1. All answers must be handwritten by the examinee in A4 size paper with page numbers included.
2. The number of pages may be less or more than 10 pages. But the uploaded document should be less than 5.0 MB in size.
3. Procedure to convert files into less than 5 MB is demostrated in https://web.gauhati.ac.in/otbe.
4. The Question Papers will be available for downloading 30 minutes before the beginning of the Examination.

1. The student will be able to upload the PDF copy of the answer script after 30 minutes from the time of commencement of the examination and the upload facility will be available until one hour (60 minutes) after the end of the examination.
2. Once uploaded, cannot be undone or redone
3. In order to take the Examination, the students will be required to log in to the Examination Portal. To log in, the students need to give correct Registration No., Mobile No. and Date of Birth.
4. Students are allowed to take help of texts books, notes etc.
5. There will be no offline submission of any Answer Sheet anywhere.
6. Students have to make sure of their network connectivity before sitting at the exam.
7. All practical examinations will be notified later on.
